DeLand Municipal Airport
DeLand Municipal Airport provides general aviation air service around the clock. Owned and operated by the City of DeLand, the airport has a rich history that dates back to the 1920s when it was first established. The city built the airport’s first asphalt runway in approximately 1936. In 1941, the City of DeLand donated the airport to the Navy, where it became known as the DeLand Naval Air Station. However, in March 1946, the Navy returned the airport to the city. Today, the airport spans 1,300 acres, continuing to serve aviation needs while preserving its historical significance.
